We seek a visionary
Senior Vice President of Public Relations
with deep expertise in real estate to lead high-stakes campaigns, drive brand visibility, and position our agency as the go-to partner for the industry’s most ambitious projects. You will oversee a portfolio of top-tier clients, mentor a dynamic team, and craft strategies that blend PR excellence with placemaking impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute integrated PR/communications strategies for luxury residential, commercial, mixed-use, and urban regeneration projects.
Advise C-suite clients on reputation management, crisis communications, and market positioning.
Partner with placemaking teams to align PR narratives with physical space activation (e.g., launches, cultural programming).
Media & Stakeholder Relations
Cultivate relationships with top-tier real estate, business, and lifestyle media (e.g., The Real Deal, Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest).
Secure high-impact coverage in print, digital, and broadcast outlets; leverage data-driven insights to measure ROI.
Engage with influencers, policymakers, and community stakeholders to amplify project credibility.
Business Development
Drive agency growth by identifying new opportunities in emerging markets (proptech, ESG-driven developments, adaptive reuse).
Lead pitch development and RFP responses; close contracts with developers, REITs, and institutional investors.
Expand client portfolios by demonstrating expertise in trends like sustainable urbanism, smart cities, and experiential retail.
Team & Client Management
Lead and mentor a team of account directors, strategists, and content creators, fostering a culture of innovation.
Serve as a senior client contact, ensuring seamless delivery of campaigns and exceeding KPIs.
Manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration with creative, digital, and placemaking teams.
Crisis & Issues Management
Anticipate and mitigate reputational risks for high-profile developments (e.g., community opposition, regulatory challenges).
Craft rapid-response protocols and messaging for sensitive scenarios.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
12+ years in PR/communications, with 8+ years focused on real estate (agency experience preferred).
Proven track record securing coverage in top-tier outlets and managing accounts + budgets.
Rolodex of media, investor, and industry contacts in NYC real estate, national and international markets.
Expertise in ESG/sustainability storytelling, crisis communications, and digital/social strategies.
Strong grasp of urban development trends, zoning policies, and community engagement.
Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, or related field.
