Macdonald & Company is pleased to be partnering with a repeat client to appoint a Director of Capital Raising for their Dallas office, focused on raising capital from HNWIs, Family Offices, and Private Wealth Groups.

OPPORTUNITY

A well-capitalized and strategically positioned real estate investment firm is seeking a Director – Capital Raising to be based in its Dallas, TX office. In this role, the Director will be a key member of the private capital team, responsible for raising equity from Family Offices and HNWIs to support the firm’s acquisition initiatives. This is a senior-level position requiring significant experience and an established network of investor relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This list outlines the primary activities associated with the role but is not intended to be all-encompassing. The successful candidate will demonstrate core competencies across the following areas:

Lead capital raising efforts on a deal-by-deal basis, primarily targeting Family Offices and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs).

Develop and implement a detailed sales strategy, focusing on meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.

Identify, prioritize, and actively engage prospective investors on a daily basis.

Manage and track a robust sales pipeline, maintain monthly sales forecasts, and document activity using CRM tools.

Support the evaluation and analysis of new investment opportunities.

Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including investment highlights, pitch decks, and presentations.

Prepare and deliver tailored presentations to prospective investors and partners.

Leverage databases and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to identify and connect with prospective equity partners.

Support the preparation of investment memorandums and related offering materials.

Analyze pro forma financial assumptions and deal structures.

Conduct market research to support upcoming investment opportunities.

Assist with various ad hoc projects related to capital raising and business development initiatives.

Maintain or obtain a FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 license (as applicable).

Willingness to travel up to 10–15% as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.

5+ years of capital markets experience, specifically raising capital from Family Offices and UHNWIs.

Strong background in real estate finance, property valuation, and equity investment analysis.

Solid understanding of industrial, office, and multifamily real estate sectors.

Proven, quantifiable track record in business development and capital raising.

Communication and Relationship Management

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.

Skilled at developing, cultivating, and managing relationships with Family Offices and UHNW investors.

Effective in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment with a client service-oriented mindset.

Analytical and Reasoning Skills

Ability to comprehend and interpret complex legal and financial documents.

Advanced analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills and Other Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities.

Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
