My client is a leading Am Law firm with a strong national reputation in real estate and land use law. Their New York office is actively seeking a mid-level associate with experience in commercial real estate finance to join their growing practice. The firm is especially known for its depth in affordable housing and community development matters, advising a wide range of clients from mission-driven organizations to Fortune 100 companies.
What you will be *
-Represent lending institutions in affordable housing and mixed-income real estate transactions
-Work on agency financing deals involving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
-Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and other transaction-related materials
-Advise clients on structuring complex real estate finance deals
-Collaborate with attorneys and consultants across disciplines to address policy, regulatory, and strategic issues
-Assist in managing transactions from inception to closing
What you *
-3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance at a reputable law firm
-Background in affordable housing transactions is strongly preferred
-Prior experience with agency financing (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) is a major plus
-NY Bar admission is required
-Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional legal teams
