As we grow, we’re expanding access through strategic partnerships—with realtors, veterinary clinics, insurance providers, benefit platforms, and shelters—all of whom interact with customers who could benefit from our services.

Position Description

We are seeking a scrappy, entrepreneurial Business Development Representative to lead our outbound sales strategy for strategic partnerships. This is a contract role with a commission-heavy structure designed for someone hungry to earn, eager to build, and excited to help Pettable expand its impact through distribution partnerships.

This person will be responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing new partners across industries that touch our ideal customer—real estate agents, veterinary clinics, insurance providers, employee benefit programs, animal shelters, and more.

This is an ideal role for someone energized by autonomy, with a track record of self-driven results in sales. You’ll work directly with our founding team to create scalable partnerships that directly impact revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own Pettable’s outbound sales pipeline for strategic partnerships.

Prospect and close deals with key industries that serve pet owners and individuals seeking mental health support.

Build compelling sales narratives tailored to verticals like real estate, veterinary, insurance, and shelter partners.

Maintain a high volume of outreach and follow-up using your preferred tools and systems.

Negotiate and execute partnership agreements that drive referrals, co-marketing, and long-term value.

Track outreach, pipeline activity, and results on a weekly basis.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth and Operations to ensure seamless partner onboarding and management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Some experience in B2B2C sales or partnership development.

Experience in a contract-based or commission-heavy sales role.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high-volume outbound pipeline.

Deep understanding of outreach tools, CRM systems, and pipeline tracking.

Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Comfortable working independently in a commission-driven environment.

Excellent at building trust and credibility with decision-makers across industries.

Exceptionally clear communicator—both written and verbal.

Highly motivated by earning potential, autonomy, and seeing results from your work.

Bonus: You have experience selling into or partnering with realtors, insurance providers, vet clinics, shelters, or benefit platforms.

Bonus: Experience structuring affiliate, referral, or co-marketing partnerships.

Bonus: Familiarity with the mental health, pet care, or wellness space.

Logistics

Time Commitment

This is a contract-based role with flexible hours and remote work, but success will require consistent weekly activity. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us and make this role a long-term success. Overlap with US time zones is preferred.

Location

We are fully remote – you can work wherever you’re most productive. We are unable to provide Visa or work permit sponsorship at this time.

Compensation

Commission-based with uncapped earning potential. Monthly retainer from $1000-$2000 USD depending on experience.
